GENERAL INFORMATION:

We all suffer the effects of aging. Aging affects us all in both apparent and unseen ways. Our immune system, arteries, joints and our mouth all can show signs of wear and tear.

Our immune system ages and becomes compromised. When immuno-surveillence cells let down their guard, our resistance drops, cancers may develop and we become susceptible to the myriad pathogens all around us. These pathogens may be in the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat and the surfaces we touch both at home and in public places.

We all know diet and exercise are important factors in maintaining good health?. But
Flossing?

Yes, in the book Real Age by Dr. Michael Roizen, flossing was considered a substantial factor in reducing how fast you age and improving your longevity. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to anyone interested in understanding the many factors that influence the aging process. He compares over a hundred different factors that can affect your “biologic age” in contrast to your chronological age.

Dr. Roizen is chairman of Anesthesia and a Preventive Gerontologist at the University of Chicago.
